Diminishing returns and saturation effect now visible using Adalyser

In advertising it is key to understand the impact overall that an increase in spend can have on leads or sales. Linear regression analysis is just one way in which this is possible.

What is equally important is to show how diminishing returns might also play a part and identify any saturation effect. So in addition to linear regression, we have now added a polynomial regression tool.

Adalyser subscribers can now see a ‘best fit’, be it linear or polynomial, so any saturation effect will be clearly visible.

The scatter chart below shows an advertiser on TV and their spend and leads plotted. We can see the two lines - one straight (linear) and one curved (optimal).

It is also possible to enter a target cost per lead (CPL) figure and, in the case of diminishing returns, the point at which target CPL is no longer being achieved by an increase in spend will be marked with a red cross on the chart.

This provides a powerful tool for informing spending decisions and ensuring that your money is providing the return that you require.

For subscribers this feature is now live and visible in all of your campaigns, for further information, please get in touch with your account manager.

Adalyser is a secure web based tool that media agencies around the world subscribe to. image

For TV advertisers having access to realtime and granular web analytics ensures that accurate analysis or spot matching can be performed to measure performance of certain spots or view % uplift from TV advertising overall.

Some web reporting tools like Google Analytics only supply volume of web traffic ‘per hour’ and other tools that do provide more granular results can be expensive.

With our new ‘Web Tracking’ technology Adalyser subscribers benefit from automated real time web stats that feed straight into their campaigns.

This gives users even greater insight to TV advertising but also delivers detailed web analytics in one easy to use tool.

If you are a current Adalyser subscriber and would like to find out more please get in touch with your account manager.

Map feature in Adalyser helps advertisers to visualise responses, sales or footfall against population data.

A brand new feature for Adalyser allows sales data to be viewed in a map and correlated to any other relevant data source e.g population statistics, size of retail store etc.

For retailers this can be an excellent way to visualise footfall and sales data for certain stores, whilst correlating against advertising investment.

Launchpad - A new tool in Adalyser to save time and build a list of reports

The Matrix and Comparison tools in Adalyser allow users to pivot and group results in Adalyser. By selecting metrics users can slice and dice results for any campaign. A query of the data is created and can then be exported to Excel

The new save icon feature means that queries can now be saved for each user and accessed via a new page called Launchpad.

Save iconPicture 11

This allows agency teams to build a list of queries that can be accessed for any client. The queries can be executed again for other clients and exported to Excel. The saved queries are saved for each user so that they can be re-used for different client accounts.

Launchpad

It is also possible to save queries in ‘Coverage’ and when building a PowerPoint the user can now save the set of slides before exporting the Presentation. This saved report is then also accessed in Launchpad.

These new features saves time for the user and removes the task of running queries from scratch.

If you would like to find out more about the new features in Adalyser or would like to request an online demo please get in touch today.

New tool helps advertising agencies to share custom top line insights with their clients quickly and easily

Charts or graphs help to visualise sometimes complex results. Florence Nightingale’s Coxcomb diagram helped to show the real cause of deaths to British soldiers in the Crimean war. Her data visualisation techniques ultimately led to cleaner army hospitals and saved lives.

Media and advertising agencies are constantly trying to communicate complex results that show advertising effectiveness and performance with their clients.

Adalyser users can now create their own unique charts that can be saved to bespoke online dashboards. Agencies can then share insights with their clients quickly and easily.

  • Multiple metrics can be added using bar, scatter or lines
  • Up to four axis can be added so that multiple data can be overlaid
  • Dashboards can be shared instantly and viewed on any device
  • Charts can also be saved and exported to a PowerPoint

Adalyser launches innovative SMS Advertising tool that helps engage with ‘connected consumers’

         SMSPlacementphot

The ‘Connected Consumer’ has their phone with them at all times, they check in, they share, they Retweet.

What better way to engage directly with them, than through targeted and relevant messages sent direct to their mobile phones that co-ordinate directly with TV spot schedules?

With the power of Adalyser’s TV spot matching, reporting solution and SMS Placement, engaging with a TV audience and measuring response is now easier than ever.

SMS messages can be;

  • Personalised
  • Targeted at demographics that match the TV audience
  • Staggered to go out before or after specifically chosen TV spots
  • Configured around different creatives or time of day
  • Include a web link to a landing page

The quality of targeting would be based on the opted in data that can be supplied. At the very least with just a mobile number Adalyser can achieve simple targeting as below:

1. When spots are bought for very specific day parts then Adalyser could be configured to stagger the delivery of messages after every spot.

2. Adalyser can be configured to adjust the content of the message dynamically to ensure it is aligned with the creative.

3. Time limited offers can be sent via SMS that garner a response from the advertised spot on TV.

4. SMS messages can be sent prior to the airing of the TV spot in order to promote a specific product being aired.

With more detailed information about the recipients (e.g gender and age), it would be possible to send out a specific message to all males between the ages 18-35 during the airing of programmes that target this specific demographic.

It is also possible to set up and create broadcast messages / campaigns using SMS Broadcast in isolation. With per message prices from 2.5p, detailed and rich reporting dashboards, Adalyser’s SMS platform is an ideal solution for any agency looking for an SMS broadcast service.

For further information on our suite of SMS products and becoming an Adalyser subscriber please call +44 (0) 333 666 7366.
